BREAKING: Tinubu Announces Rescue of 38 Kwara Worshippers, 51 Niger Students
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the successful rescue of 38 abducted worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, and 51 of the missing students kidnapped from a Catholic school in Niger State.
In a national statement on Sunday, the President recalled cancelling his scheduled trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally coordinate security operations across the country.
He credited the breakthroughs to the intensified efforts of Nigeria’s security forces over the last few days, noting that he is receiving continuous updates from the frontline and monitoring the situation closely.
Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to decisively tackle insecurity, stressing that the safety of every Nigerian remains non-negotiable.
“Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people,” the President stated.
