Following the blow out of the allegations of financial improprieties at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, the Presidency has summoned the Minister of Interior, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.
WesternPost can authoritatively report that the Minister of Interior is billed to meet the President by afternoon of today. The Minister has been linked to some financial transactions with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs through a company he allegedly has interest in.
The company reportedly got over N400million contract from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu was suspended from office by President Bola Tinubu on Monday for financial irregularities and mismanagement of public fund.

Bunmi Tunji-Ojo was on Channels Television yesterday night where he defended himself on the programme Politics Today. While on the programme he admitted that he founded the company that is in the eyes of the storm but said he resigned his directorship since 2019 when he won election into the House of Representatives.
WesternPost can not confirm Tunji-Ojo’s meeting is connected with the ongoing investigation of Betta Edu and his own company in contract racketeering.

The Minister of Interior’s current achievements in his new portfolio greatly outweighs his counterparts in government. He is the golden egg of this administration. Mr. President Sir, do try and be soft on him, please. If he actually resigned truly in 2019, though without a replacement in that company, for peace to reign with a woman in the house, any man is fallible in such matters. What should be paramount here “was the contract actually complete as bidded”. Give him a second chance, please. I’m just an admirer and have nothing in connection or related with him. I’ve never even met or spoken to him in person.
I pray that quality wisdom will prevail in the handling of this his matter. But for the others involved without good intentions, Mr President, you still have the final say.
