OSUN APC SENSITIZATION TOUR: Chairman Prays For Repose Of Murdered Members By PDP Thugs During Last Elections In Atakumosa-East, Atakumosa-West

The sensitization train of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has prayed for the repose of the souls of the members of the party in Atakumosa-East and Atakumosa-West local government council areas of the state who were slaughtered like rams by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hoodlums during the last series of elections in the areas.

The Osun State chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in his separate addresses at Iwara and Osu on Thursday, saluted the courage of the APC members and leaders in the two local governments for their steadfastness during the series of attacks by the PDP thugs through which the elections were rigged.

Lawal assured the members of the party in the two local government councils to remain steadfast and double up their efforts in their commitment to the party with a message that the APC at different levels would not compromise their security of lives and property for whatever reason before, during and after the next elections.

The State APC chairman who observed a minute silence for the members and supporters of the party who were prematurely dispatched to the great beyond by the PDP thugs before and during the last elections in the state, disclosed that the APC under his leadership in the state would ensure that anyone who works for the party would be adequately rewarded.

Lawal enjoined the APC members and leaders to welcome with open arms any disenchanted members of the APC who have repented genuinely to become productive members of the party.

Lawal who was accompanied by the State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru and the State Treasurer, Hon Femi Kujembola, told the members and supporters of the party in those local government council areas to put behind them the monumental violence suffered by them in the hands of the PDP thugs during the last elections.

In the state APC chairman’s words: “We were not, as a party, unaware of your terrible experiences in the hands of the PDP goons in your areas during the last series of elections.

“We can still recollect how some of you, the APC members and leaders were run out of your homes, towns and local governments. It is still fresh in our memory how your houses, shops and items were maliciously burnt down by the PDP thugs in order to scare and frighten them with a view to rigging the elections for the PDP candidates.

“In the spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the level play ground is assured for all the political parties in the next elections”, Lawal stated.

Lawal promised that all the challenges facing the party as earlier stated by the leaders of the party in the two local government council areas would be addressed with dispatch in the interest of the party.
