Breakdown of N150bn Federal Allocation received by Adeleke since Nov. 2022 By Adebayo Adedeji

This piece, a breakdown of over N150bn federal allocation received by Osun State since November 2022, is an update to an earlier intervention by the author where it was posited that since May 2023 when President Bola Tinubu removed fuel subsidy, Osun State under the supervision of Governor Ademola Adeleke had received from federal allocation account sum close to N100bn.

It is important to stress that the said N100bn does not include the sum of N13.5bn ( subsidy grant, palliative fund and NG-CARES fund) special intervention funds received in the period under discourse.

It is also important to note that the breakdown intended in this piece does not include the federal allocation for the month of December 2023 which was shared in January 2024. When the data for Dec. 2023 is publicly available, it shall be published for members of the public to draw their conclusion on the profligate government in Osun State.

Finally, the breakdown does not also include the N14bn cash-in-bank inherited from the government of ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, SURE-P grant, education grant and another NG-CARES money received around February 2023, all totaling about N30bn. When all these monies are summed up, it is safe to hold that the Ademola Adeleke-led government has earned over N200bn from the federal government since inception.
