The Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Osun State, led by Ambassador Oluomo Sunday Akere, have begun the distribution of 1,600 bags of rice to residents across the state as part of activities marking the Ramadan and Lenten season.

The initiative which is in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is designed to reflect the spirit of compassion and shared responsibility that defines both periods. The distribution cuts across all 30 local government areas, including the Area Office, with deliberate efforts to reach a wide range of communities and stakeholders.

Religious bodies such as CAN and various Islamic bodies are included, alongside labour unions, student representatives like NANS, and non-indigenous communities including Hausa, Igbo, Tiv, and Idoma groups. The approach is to ensure that support reaches people from different backgrounds without exclusion.

The programme signals an attempt to bring people together during a time that calls for reflection, generosity, and care for others, while also addressing immediate needs within communities across the state.
