Following the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Committee of the All Progressives Congress which held on the 14th day of October, 2026, the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has concluded the process of setting up a campaign committee for the National and State House of Assemblies’ elections.
The above resolution was passed for the party to effectively mobilize the electorate and drive its efforts towards achieving maximum success in the forth-coming National and State House of Assemblies’ elections scheduled to hold in January and February, 2027 respectively.
This step is distinct and separate from the Presidential Campaign Committee which is a coalition of disparate political parties working together to ensure the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the presidential election holding on the 16th day of January, 2027, the same day the National Assembly elections shall also be held.
In order, therefore, to complement the work of the Presidential Campaign Committee and guarantee qualitative representations at both the National and State Assemblies, it has become imperative that a powerful campaign organ be set up at the state level in Osun State All Progressives Congress that will make this dream a reality.
The full list of the members of the said National and State Assembly Campaign Committee shall be released in the next few days.
We are using this opportunity to assure our members and the general electorate that our party is committed to qualitative governance at all levels and confirming to the masses that the arrangement involving the Accord as a political party is limited to the Presidential election while the party does not compromise the quality of its candidates who are vying for the various legislative offices.
“We hereby urge the members of the public to work with and troop out en masse to vote for the three candidates of our party in the three Senatorial Districts, the nine candidates in the Federal Constituencies making up the State and the 26-member House of Assembly candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the elections”, Lawal stated.
