The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has reiterated its unwaivering commitment towards the electoral victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election.
We are not unaware of the fact that the electoral victory of President Tinubu in the 16th January, 2027 election is a victory for all the members and supporters of our party which is the reason we can not handle the election with levity.
President Tinubu as the presidential candidate of our party is also the national leader of the party under whose refuge we have been expressing our satisfaction in his numerous reforms that have been yielding positive results across the length and breadth of this country.
It was quite unfortunate that one Muniru Adebayo Raji, a non-cabinet rank Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke, went off the track in a radio interview monitored in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Monday, spewing falsehoods and disinformation without an iota of decorum against our party and our leaders, falsely accusing them of not co-operating with Governor Adeleke in the collective efforts for the campaign for the re-election of President Tinubu.
Must Raji engage in spreading falsehoods against the Osun APC and its leaders about the arrangement for the election in order to secure the attention of his boss for his reappointment as he(Raji) would be relieved of his job any moment from now based on the imminent dissolution of the Adeleke cabinet?
Could Raji who was speaking from all the sides of his mouth during the interview provide a proof of where his principal called any of the leaders of our party to a meeting with a view to discussing the way forward for the forthcoming President Tinubu’s re-election and such invitation was rebuffed?
The statement by Raji that the APC leaders in the state should be held responsible if the 1.5 million projected votes for President Tinubu is not realised is not only misplaced but a mere statement advanced without deep thinking.
One would have thought that the motormouthed Special Adviser without cabinet would be bold enough to explain to the whole world that the leadership of his party is meeting a brick wall among the members of the Accord who are hell-bent in not identifying with the political choice of the governor with reference to the presidential election.
The claim of Raji that his principal has started campaigning for the re-election of President Tinubu in the towns, villages and hamlets across the state is not only false but a classical example of disinformation and misinformation as there has not been any public place where Governor Adeleke was sighted campaigning for the re-election of Asiwaju Tinubu since after his last appearance during the campaign committee inauguration in Abuja last week.
The re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our project and we, as a party, are working assiduously, ready and fully prepared to make any concession no matter its distastefulness to achieve a victory for our presidential candidate and other national and state Houses of Assemblies’ candidates that would be featuring in the elections.
No one can proffer to love one’s father than his children, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our father whose political victory in the forthcoming presidential election is our topmost priority in the State of the Virtuous.
