Alubarika Movement Marks the First Anniversary of Hon. Bisi Odewumi’s Passing with Interdenominational Prayers in His Honor
The passing of Hon. Bisi Odewumi November last year was a devastating loss for our principal, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, Ph.D., as well as for the leaders and stakeholders of the Alubarika Movement. They find comfort in the belief that “Bisi Odewumi is resting with his Lord.”
At yesterday’s prayer gathering, Imam Maruf Oluwatoyin Yusuf and the venerable Clement Fayemi shared words of God, reminding attendees that this world is temporary and that, in due course, we will all return to our Creator.
They prayed for the soul of the deceased and for the leaders and stakeholders to remain steadfast in the way of the Lord.
The stakeholders later took the opportunity to discuss strategies for advancing President Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The leaders emphasized the need to strengthen grassroot mobilization, improve coordination, and engage constructively with other members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consolidate support for the President.
Speaking through the movement’s chairman, Alhaji Kehinde Olamolu, the movement’s principal, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, Ph.D., APC National Secretary, expressed his profound appreciation to members for their loyalty, resilience, and continued commitment to the movement’s objectives. He recognized their steadfastness and encouraged them to maintain their dedication while strengthening their collective efforts to advance the re-election agenda.
The stakeholders were subsequently urged to intensify engagement across their respective wards and local government areas, deepen cooperation with relevant party stakeholders, and remain committed to their political responsibilities. The meeting underscored the importance of unity, strategic coordination, and sustained grassroots participation as essential to the movement’s continued relevance and success.
Those in attendance as members of the key management team included Alhaji Kehinde Olamolu, Rt. Hon. Akintunde Adegboye, Hon. Adeoye Adelakun, Hon Waheed Adediran and others.
