Osun Pensioners under the auspices of Osun Pressure Group of State Contributory Pensioners have alleged that Governor Ademola Adeleke has abandoned them after using them to win the 2022 governorship election.
They said the Governor Ademola Adeleke’s eight months administration has nothing “tangible” to show in terms of “BONDS and half salary arrears, apart from the paltry ones released to mark his one hundred Days in Office. BONDS are now being RELEASED in trickles, mostly underground and after crying out loud, by the State Pressure GROUP, the government is now likely to release BONDS, anytime from now.”
In a message by the leader of the group, Olusola Abiodun Awodele, the group while commending the immediate past administration of Adegboyega Oyetola for paying two out their half salary arrears, said “Osun State Contributory Pensioners are now lamenting that the last regime of Gov Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola, (which) they rejected then,for not doing well with us,is now a big Champion, very Compassionately.
“At least, Gov Gboyega Oyetola used to ReleaseN1.1b , over one billion naira,every month,up till September,2022,for BONDS alone and paid,at least,two of the half salary arrears before leaving the office.”

Every Sane-Person, should by now,be fully convinced that,Osun State Contributory Pensioners,had been mischievously led to play into the Gallery for this present regime of Gov Ademola Adeleke…At the beginning of the Party’s Gubernatorial Election Campaigns and suggestions were made that Osun State Contributory Pensioners, should pit our Tents with this new PDP-regime,if they could promise to look into our major plights, after toiling for them,to win the elections…The Whole ballgame started and we all went into action, campaigning from House to house,moving into all the nooks and crannies of the State,to ensure a hundred percent success for Senator,now Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and the PDP,in all the Elections, Nationwide,to put him and his Govt,on a sound footing… We were all very glad for it and even went all out ways, to buy uniforms,to celebrate the huge success,at Osogbo City Stadium,Ikirun Road, Osogbo, Osun State,to further establish our loyalties and remind the Govt and the Party on the need to start offsetting the backlogs of our half salary arrears and Bonds,not forgetting the Eventual cashbacking of our Promotion Letters,from 2015-2022… Several weeks after the official inauguration in November,2022, Osun State Contributory Pensioners,started hoping that,we would have started being attended to,before or during hisfirst one Hundred Days in Office, and believe you me, nothing of such came up,up till now… Even the Circular Letter RELEASED by the Govt,after so much Agitations from the State Pressure GROUP of the Contributory Pensioners,had long been abandoned,which is not Humanly good for us… Our people are dying,ailing,impoverishing and psychologically troubled,but did not catch the pitiable attention of Osun State Govt… Thank God, All those claiming to be representing Us in meeting the Govt, to discuss our plights,but sidelined us by eyeing political posts and other juicy largesse from the same Govt,had all met their selfish Waterloo… Of the close to eighty political appointments,so made and confirmed by Osun State Govt,none of their Name is there,to let them know,they are of no importance at all,but mere traitors of their people… Osun State Contributory Pensioners are now lamentating,that,the last regime of Gov Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola,they rejected then,for not doing well with us,is now a big Champion, very Compassionately… At least,Gov Gboyega Oyetola used to Release#1.1b ,over one billion naira,every month,up till September,2022,for BONDS alone and paid,at least,two of the half salary arrears before leaving the office… This is Gov Ademola Adeleke’s Eighth Month,nothing tangible had been released,in term of BONDS and half salary arrears, apart from the paltry ones released,to mark his one hundred Days in Office… BONDS are now being RELEASED in trickles, mostly underground and after Crying out loud,by the State Pressure GROUP,the Govt,is now LIKELY to release BONDS, anytime from now, that will only take care of only few of the 2016 set in the Pry Schl, some 2017 and above with Special Problems…The next time to release BONDS, will now be in September,2023, when the remaining 2016, shall be cleared,carrying some 2017, along… You can now see that,this is not the best Time for Osun State Contributory Pensioners,in the hands of the present Govt, despite the sporadic increase in the Federal Monthly Allocations,to take care of unfortunate situations like this,for God’s Merciful Sake… We are now,Deserted Orphans, even our own people we sent to care for us,had long abandoned Us… Our solace, shall be in our Lord Jesus Christ, and we will keep,Praying and begging for Mercies from the very govt we were coarsed into trusting them,but now, treating Osun State Contributory Pensioners,like Leprous…
