Buhari Approved The Appointment of Isaac Azi As Chairman IST

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammed Buhari has approved the appointment of Barrister Amos Isaac Azi as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Investment Securities Tribunnal.

Azi was a staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission before his appointment as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for the Investment and Securities Tribunnal (IST)

Azi took over from Jude Udunni who had been serving in an acting capacity since September 2019 when his predecessor Isiaka Idoko was removed from the office by the Federal Government.

Also, President Buhari approved the reappointment of Barrister Nosa Osemwengie as full time member of the IST for a second and final term of his four years.

The appointments were in accordance with the provisions of the Investment and Securities Act (ISA), 2007 which govern the operation of the Tribunnal.

The Tribunnal specializes in Capital Market/Securities and Pension Matters.
