Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has spoken on his reconciliation with an ex-governor of the state, Engr. Segun Oni.
Fayose on Sunday called all his supporters in the People Democratic Party to desist from insulting, castigating, mocking and embarrassing Engr. Segun Oni.
He said “To my brothers and sisters in the PDP Osoko Political family, having formally received Engr. Oni into the PDP at the state Congress, henceforth nobody should castigate, mock, insult or undermine him on any social media platforms associated with Osoko Political family”.
Fayose stated that despite the reconciliation, he has not endorsed Oni’s governorship ambition.
“True leadership is demonstrated by forgiveness, followed by restoration after a show of true humility. However, this does not represent or amount to endorsement of Engr. Segun Oni’s gubernatorial ambition.
Rather it is part of our sincere efforts to keep the party together and accommodate everyone, except those members who are due for political perdition.
I hereby use this medium to congratulate the new state chairman, Bisi Kolawole and other members state excos, I wish them a successful tenure.
