Oyetola’s Ally Lights up Aregbesola’s Street with Solar Power
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ilesa and supporter of ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Hon Olasunkanmi Obisesan, popularly known as “Obi”, has installed solar lights across Amuta Street, Ilesa East local government, Osun State, casting a radiant glow of change on the new abode of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, ex-governor of Osun and immediate past Minister of Interior.
Each pole mounting the solar light is equally adorned with the insignia of the Marine and Blue minister, Adegboyega Oyetola and Obisesan, the donor.
Before Obisesan’s intervention, the street was almost becoming a horrific and isolated route as people of the area were often scared of walking home after work, particularly from the Aralopon/Sabo Irojo entrance point to the community.
Meanwhile, all efforts made by the residents of the street to get privileged individuals in the area, including Ogbeni Aregbesola, to key into the solar light project proved abortive until Obisesan came to the rescue.
With the installation of the light, the road across Amuta street leading to the Osun College of Health Technology, Bolorunduro road, is now lightened up, thus reducing the risk of accidents and deterring criminal activities hitherto devilling the area.
Mama Iyabo, who owns a shop on the Street, thanked the donor for his thoughtfulness and generosity.
According to her, “We thank Obi for this great donation. People are out at night these days. The solar powered street lights have become a source of relief and safety to residents.”
