Speaking on the significance of the day, Hon. Adeniyi stressed the importance of creating an environment where every girl is encouraged to discover and develop her potential. “Our daughters are full of untapped talent and potential. It is our duty to guide them, nurture their strengths, and provide the opportunities they need to thrive. By recognizing their abilities, we lay the foundation for a brighter and more equitable future,” AIO stated.

In his message, he urged parents and guardians to be proactive in supporting the dreams and aspirations of their daughters, providing them with the tools, education, and encouragement needed to overcome societal barriers. “Parents and guardians must be the first champions of their daughters’ ambitions. By fostering a supportive environment and prioritizing their education and personal growth, we give them the confidence to excel,” AIO advised.

Chief Adeniyi also spoke directly to the girls, encouraging them to believe in their abilities and not be discouraged by obstacles. “To every young girl out there, know that you are capable of achieving greatness. Never underestimate your talent or limit your dreams. The future belongs to those who are determined, and I urge you to remain focused on your goals, for the world needs your brilliance and creativity.”

He also shines light on the rights and challenges facing girls globally, AIO called for a collective commitment to breaking down barriers that hinder their progress. “We must work together to dismantle the cultural, educational, and societal obstacles that prevent our girls from reaching their full potential. Let’s march them toward a better tomorrow by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they deserve.”
