How Adelabu Allegedly Hijacked APC Ibadan North Primaries without Conducting any Delegate Congress and Primaries – Eyewitness

Reports have emerged on how the minster for power, Adebayo Adelabu in connivance with the committee members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rigged the party’s delegate congress and primaries meant to produce the party’s candidate in the forthcoming by-election.

Instead of the providing a level playing field for all candidates, the committee members working on the dictates of Adelabu refused to conduct a delegate congress. At a clandestine meeting between the committee members; Dr. Umar D. Duhu, Chief Arinze Igboeli, Safiyat Tanko Haruna, Hon. Habibu Dukawa, Engr. Olateju Funso Famosara, Hon. Asalu Ayodele
and Chief Livinus Opuakpa, Aliyu Orogbo, Minister’s P.A, Akande Ajiboye and Wale Murphy in the hotel where they lodged, Murphy wrote and handed to the committee members a doctored delegate list for them to use in the conduct of the fake primaries designed to produce Murphy.

What should have been a level playing field for all aspirants vying for the ticket of the party became a private primaries for the minister’s anointed candidate, Wale Murphy.

One of those handpicked for the hatchet job of posing as a fake delegate by Wale Murphy revealed that the sensitive materials were given by Aliyu Orogbo to the Personal Assistant to the minister of power, Akande Ajiboye, Aji, who in turn handed them over to their favored aspirant, Wale Olatunju Murphy so as to conduct the shady private primaries but expressed regret that despite the hatchet job he did, he had not been paid. He said after the other aspirants resisted Wale Murphy from conducting the fake primaries, him and his men that are not even party members but disguising as delegates went to another venue where they made videos of themselves voting with the sensitive materials given to them by Akande Ajiboye and now Murphy is on his way to Abuja to present the footage to make it look like a primary election was conducted. Regretfully, the used and now dumped delegate has threatened that if he and the other people Murphy used for his hatchet job are not paid their dues, they will reign terror on the constituency and reveal the shady deal that transpired between the committee members, Adelabu, Ajiboye and Murphy.

To this end, 8 of the aspirants resisted the doctored delegate list and can confirm that the committee from Abuja that were asked to conduct the primaries did not conduct any primary before leaving for Abuja. All they did was hand over materials to Adelabu’s man Friday, Akande Ajiboye popularly known as Aji who gave it to Murphy.

If this unsavory development is not arrested and addressed by the party hierarchy, it portends grave danger to the success of the APC in the by-election and forthcoming 2027 general elections.
