Osun 2026: Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan CAN Leaders Endorse AMBO as APC Campaign Council Donates Bus for Evangelism
The governorship ambition of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun state, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO on Saturday gained a momentum as the leadership and members of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN across the three Local Government Areas of Irewole, Ayedade and Isokan Federal Constituency in Osun state declared their support and solidarity for the APC standard-bearer.
The CAN leadership comprises of clerics and members of different congregations, unanimously endorsed Oyebamiji’s candidature and pledged to vote massively for his victory in the forthcoming August 15th gubernatorial election.
They attributed their decision to the innate qualities and outstanding performance of the APC guber candidate who they described as “a rare breed and gift of nature”
This is just as the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council led by Hon. Oluwole Oke donated a vehicle to CAN leaders to ease transportation and evangelism.
The CAN leadership who couldn’t hide their feelings made the declaration while playing a host to Oyebamiji in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area, the headquarters of Irewole Federal Constituency.
Speaking on behalf of the Christian leaders in Irewole Federal Constituency, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Irewole Local Government Area, Rev. Ademola Oketunbi eulogised Oyebamiji for his unparalleled and monumental strides and for being a detribalised Nigerian whose philanthropy knows no bounds.
Rev. Oketunbi attributed the decision of the religious leaders to endorsing Oyebamiji as a deliberate and painstaking initiative to reward his good deeds to mankind.
According to the cleric, Oyebamiji has written his name in the sand of time and his immeasurable landmark achievements and enduring legacy and imprints had registered permanently in the hearts and minds of the people particularly Christians in this domain and beyond.
The cleric pledged to continue to advocate and spread the gospel of Oyebamiji’s kindness, capacity and competence across the federal constituency and beyond as part of effort to ensuring his victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
The CAN leadership acknowledged Oyebamiji’s continued hands of fellowship being extended to the Christians in the federal constituency most importantly the construction of the CAN secretariat in the domain.
Rev. commended AMBO’s exceptional quality disclosing that Oyebamiji had longtime ago built CAN secretariat in Irewole Local Government Area even before he declared his intention to contest governorship seat.
They urged every Christian in the federal constituency and beyond to vote massively for Oyebamiji come August 15th, 2026 governorship election.
In his response, Oyebamiji appreciated the love and support from all members of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the state particularly in Irewole Federal Constituency, describing them as noble and great minds.
Oyebamiji who was represented by his wife, Dr. Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji and Director General, Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke expressed confidence in the capacity and competence of Oyebamiji to lead Osun to the promised land.
They extolled the leadership and members of CAN for their unflinching support, solidarity and consistency promising to run all inclusive, participatory and masses-oriented government when elected Governor.
The delegation declared the donation of a bus to the leadership and members of CAN to ease transportation and evangelism.
