Vote PDP or Face Sanctions, Ataoja tells Osogbo Non Indigenes
Ataoja threatens Non Osogbo Indigenes to Vote PDP
Non Osogbo Indigenes residing in Osogbo have been warned that all their kinsmen must vote for all Candidates of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming Elections.
The Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji called a meeting of Leaders of the Hausa, Fulani, Igbira and Igbo communities yesterday at his Palace in Osogbo and gave a strict warning that they must vote for PDP candidates in the February 25th Elections.
A very close and reliable source in the Palace further stated that all the invited leaders were present except for the leaders of the Igbo Communities who Ataoja said they hardly comply with his directives and so he is not surprised that they didn’t honor his invitation as it is their way.
At the meeting, Oba Oyetunji mandated all the attendees to switch off their phones so as to prevent anyone from making videos and recordings of his conversations with them. The Ataoja made it very clear that there are consequences for any community and tribe that do not obey his directives in this election.
This is not coming as a surprise as the Royal father has shown his preference and support for the candidates of the PDP over time and also said on one occasion that a PDP government installed him as the King of the land and this is also the reason why some of the Osogbo chiefs are unhappy as the attitude of the king has prevented other political parties to patronize and visit them at the Palace.
