Breaking: Gbajabiamila Gives Akpabio 48 Hours To Name Beneficiaries of NDDC Contracts
The speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has ordered the honourable minister of Niger Delta Affairs, God’s will Akpabio to publish the names of law makers taking contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) within 48 hours or risk facing the wrath of the House.
Gbajabiamila directed the clerk of the House to send a communication to the minister today.
He also declared that the committee on NDDC can summon the ‘Slumped’ Acting Director of the NDDC, Lemme Pondei.
In his words, Femi said “I am giving the minister 48hours to publish the names of the beneficiaries of the contract, date, companies, amount and the projects. Failing to do this will attract the full wrath of the House on the Minister. It is important we set the record straight, the minister owes it to himself, to the committee, to the people of the Niger Delta and the country at large to publish the names. We are here for serious business and not to joke”.
