Adebayo Adelabu Denies Resignation Rumours, Insists He Remains Nigeria’s Minister of

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has dismissed reports circulating on social media suggesting he has resigned to pursue the Oyo State governorship.

The clarification was made during a programme on Channels Television, where the host of Politics Today, Seun Okinbaloye, disclosed that the minister had personally reached out to the station to refute the claim.

According to Okinbaloye, Adelabu maintained that he neither signed any resignation letter—particularly one allegedly bearing his signature in blue ink—nor stepped down from his position as Minister of Power.

As of the time of filing this report, the minister is yet to release an official public statement to formally debunk the rumours.
